Tuross Lake Floods
Large rainfalls in the catchment areas of the lake
and locally, caused the lake to rise and eventually flood.
The lake continued to rise and at 6:30am it entered the boatshed.
At 1:00pm the water level was about 150mm over our coffee shop floor.
The lake was opened at 1:00pm by an excavator at the beach and after about 1 hour started to fall.

Amber Lawrence and the Getaway Team Visit Tuross Boatshed
Amber Lawrence, winner of the APRA/MMCOS Australian Independent Country singer of the year and Best female vocalist winner at the Peoples Choice Awards Tamworth Country Music Festival, visited the boatshed for our famous fish and chips and coffee.
Jason Dundas from Nine's Getaway program is travelling with Amber on her road trip and filming life on the road for an episode to be shown sometime early 2010.
The team visited the boatshed for a bit of filming and a bit of a break. They had been told of the legendary fish and chips we serve and were definitely not disappointed.
